Hey hey,
no, it's not about autumn in Canada. It 's a hot little breath of Asia. It's a
single synth challenge. Since it's hardware again, I only say hybrid analogue.
It would, however, never have been possible without the immense amount of
plugins that were used during the mixing/processing stage, not to mention
Midish for the MIDI sequencing and trursty Nama for the audio
recording/proocessing/mixing/mastering.

I hope you enjoy it, feedback is welcome.

Best wishes,

Jeanette

Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 12. Lovely UI and very well suited to be
tweaked without sight. :)x!

I'll comment about the music later. In the meanwhile, does anyone see
any embedded graphic in these files when playing them using a player
app that can display embedded graphics ? (Such as vlc).

That is, once downloaded. If I use vlc to play the online stream there
are no embedded graphics. Once downloaded and played locally using vlc
there's an embedded graphic about a 2011 movie called "The Selling".

This does not happen in vlc 2.6.1. So it's a problem with at least
2.2.2

Nothing displayed with vlc 3.0.3. Nothing in the output of vorbiscomment
--list nor ogginfo to indicate that anything other than text comments are
included in the metadata.

RĂ©mi Denis-Courmont, vlc developer, has replied:

"It is the Internet search engine giving wrong results."

My spin on it is that it reacts on metadata entered int he file such as
track title, author, etc... I use vlc regularly on the music I create
and I never had any images added, and I never add any metadata.

Linux Mint 18 seems to be locked at 2.2.2. Ah well, it's not a harmful
bug.

"It is the Internet search engine giving wrong results."
Perhaps the setting under Preferences/Interface has an influence: "Allow
metadata network access."
Enabling that setting did not produce the behavior you described while
using 3.0.3, so either the behavior is different between 2.x and 3.x, or
something else caused that.
I always disable that network access setting, I do not need my media
player searching the Internet for data which may or may not apply to the
audio or video that I am playing, but I suppose in principle it could
provide interesting information sometimes.

I always disable that network access setting,
It is disabled. I erased the file, re-downloaded it, the image about
the movie "The Selling" is still showing. No harm, though.

I agree with the network options: not so much useful for a media
player.

I recently asked Urs Heckmann (u-he plugins) ... ah well, this will
again go "off-topic" and irate/confuse people and I do not want to start
a thread just for that :)

Cheers.

This really first class. Great atmosphere and solid driving backing.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

In case you prefer to "listen" to things on youtube:

This is the field outside the place where I live. Somehow it is the
essence of hot summer for me, this year.

Best wishes,

Jeanette

The piece is quite good as to how the various themes weaves in and out,
each with their own voice, well supported by the rhythms. The sounds
are quite good all over. The tuned percussion notes answering back and
forth from right to left starting at 1:44 adds a nice touch. The
reed-like sound expressing a theme at 2:18 is nice. It would have been
even nicer with a touch of modulation. The brief sound field effect at
2:52 however sounds a bit odd.

The addition of noise at the beginning and end places the piece in some
kind of story-telling context.

A good EDM-like piece where at every moment something is happening.

Cheers.
